This is a sponsored post. read much more to learn how you can win a totally free WagAware Charm.
Looking for a gift idea that will help dogs in need? WagAware says it’s the only charm that saves dogs’ lives. That’s actually its slogan – “Buy a charm. save a dog.”
The WagAware Ambassador charms are implied to help homeless dogs in two ways – by raising awareness and by raising funds.
Awareness about homeless dogs
According to WagAware.com:

About 4 million animals are killed in U.S. shelters each year
About 9,000 animals are killed in U.S. shelters per day
About six animals are killed in U.S. shelters every minute

“WagAware created the first and only universal awareness symbol to encourage canine rescue and adoption,” according to a WagAware representative. “What we love so much is that our dogs wear the charms too and are advocates for their furry friends in need.”
The charm is a way for anybody to pitch in and unite with like-minded individuals, wrote Samantha Haas on WagAware.com. Haas is the founder and president of WagAware.
“We are all busy, multi-tasking and on-the-go, but if we all do a little bit, together, we can do something great,” she wrote.
Raising funds to help dogs in need
In addition to raising awareness, WagAware donates 50 percent of its profits to shelters, rescue groups and animal welfare charities, according to its web site. At the time of this blog post, WagAware has donated $14,200 because its launch in July.
Some of the organizations that have received funding from WagAware include the bill Foundation, K9s for Warriors, Canine Companions for Independence, Wags and Walks and Angels for animal Rescue. You can learn much more about some of the organizations that have directly benefited from WagAware here.
More about the charms
Each WagAware charm sells for $14.95. They are available at WagAware.com.
The charms attach to a dog’s collar with a ring the same way you would attach an ID tag. They can also be used as essential chains.
What I like about WagAware
[ΛΙΣΤΑ ΕΛΕΓΧΟΥ]
Even if your current canine was not adopted, he or she can still wear a charm to show you support canine rescue.
You don’t even have to own a pet to show support. just put the charm on a essential chain.
The charms are a great way to start a conversation about adoption.
The charms glow in the dark.
The charms have “tag silencer” material around them, so they don’t make a jingling-tag sound.

What’s not so good

I wish the charms were available in smaller sizes. They are about the size of a quarter, which I think is too big for small pets.
I think people would be much more likely to purchase the charms if there were much more color options.

Because of the charm’s color and design, “It really pops!” according to a WagAware representative.
She said she hopes that one day “there will be a sea of orange so bright” that no one can disregard the canine homelessness issue anymore.
